Pot of Hope
The Pot of Hope scheme provides an opportunity for you to help us to help others.
Matthew 25: 35, 36 and 45 (Jesus talking to his disciples)
‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
The Pot of Hope is a film canister and when filled to the top with 50p pieces holds £12.00. Over the years, your financial support, whether through supporting the Pot of Hope scheme or by way of individual donations, has made it possible for the Charity to employ a Project Coordinator. Thankfully, the work of the Charity has developed and grown to the extent that in May 2006 it was necessary to employ an additional Project Coordinator on a part time basis.
As you can appreciate, it’s not always possible for Christian organisations to obtain Government or Local Borough Council funding, even though the services provided are open to everyone. Without your support it would be impossible for us to provide the level of service we do to those who feel excluded from society.
Why don’t you consider becoming a Sponsor and use Gift Aid?
If you would like to support us financially you can either receive a Pot of Hope to collect cash, or you could provide a single or regular donations. If you are a tax payer, Gift Aid allows us to increase your contribution by reclaiming tax.
Some Churches involved in the Pot of Hope scheme, have a nominated person responsible for collecting the pots and providing updates to their fellowships on the work of the Charity.
There are also other ways in which you could support the work of the Charity.
Your prayer support is vital to the work of the Charity’s mission and the people we seek to serve. The staff and volunteers demonstrate the love of Jesus in real and practical ways in the hope that lives are changed and people are made whole. They are His hands, feet and voice to people who, for one reason or another, have lost their way.
